Q. Are vehicles fully insured during auto relocation with JTML Auto Transport?
Yes, your vehicle is fully insured to the market value the entire time it is on the car transport truck. A copy of the insurance policy will be made available if requered.

 Q. How much lead time is needed to ensure an on time delivery in JTML' car transport?  To help us meet the dates you ask for, and to get the best auto relocation service, try to book as early as possible. We will take an order with any notice, however, two weeks is the average lead time. See our useful tips section for more information about car transport deliveries.

Q. Will JTML Auto transport a vehicle that does not run?Yes. However, there is an additional surcharge of $250 added to the auto shipping charge for any car that is or becomes inoperable during auto shipping.  The inop surcharge can be paid with the deposit or added to the COD balance paid at the car transport delivery.

Q. How much personal goods may I pack into my vehicle?

Under 100 pounds in the trunk will not make the truck overweight. However, it is at your own risk. Personal belongings are not covered by car transport insurance for damage or theft, the added weight may cause damage to the exhaust system which is not covered by auto shipping insurance, items not packed properly may damage the interior, which is not covered, and the DOT does not allow household or personal goods in vehicles during car transport.

Q. Why am I not able to get anyone in auto shipping to quote the exact day and time my car will be picked up or delivered?

Federal DOT laws dictate that each car transport driver can drive only for 10 hours per day. The auto shipping delivery schedule is further affected by weather, road & traffic conditions and mechanical functions. The pickup and delivery details of the other cars on each load affect each one. Though there can not be a guaranteed car moving delivery, JTML will make every effort to deliver within the quoted time window. Coast to coast car transport is estimated at 7 to 14 business days, up and down the East Coast or the West Coast at about 3-5 days, and from the Midwest to the East Coast or the West Coast at about 6-8 days.

No one can honestly guarantee a day or time of day for car transport pick up or delivery. We at JTML Auto Transport will work with you through the car transport process from pick up to delivery. Please see our Contact Us page.

Q. Will I be kept abreast of the exact location of my vehicle during the car transport process?
As much as is possible. For the safety of our driver and the other drivers on the road, the DOT demands that auto shipping companies limit the calls to the drivers. You will be called approximately 24 hours before both the pickup and delivery.

Q. How can we pay for our car transport or auto shipping?

Once you have received a quote and would like to ship with us, a minimum deposit will be required, then upon delivery of your vehicle the balance will be paid in cash or cashiers check. 

Q. What if I can not be available for pick up or delivery for my car transport?

If the vehicle owner or customer cannot be available, a person should be designated to act as the agent at pick up or delivery. If not, the vehicle will be stored at the customers expense. If you are not available, we will work with you to try to find a way to help your agent represent you in the process to save you this extra expense.  


Q. What about I.C.C. regulations?
All transports and pricing conform to I.C.C. regulations. Our one-price quoting is your final amount with no hidden extras. Transports are based on volume with carriers ready and waiting.

Time-sensitive emergencies will be handled with priority status. Contact our customer service staff, and we will put your mind at ease.


Q.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM NOT THERE TO RECEIVE MY CAR WHEN IT ARRIVES?
In the event you cannot be reached in a suitable amount of time, or you are not in the area, your vehicle will either remain in the truck for a later delivery, or the vehicle will be put in storage until such time as you can arrange for it to be picked up. Vehicles put in storage are subject to additional charges at a reasonable rate.
